Poem by Me!

I put in words what I think of the "world" today and just wanted to share with you. Hope you enjoy (and agree)!

We are definitely living in uncertain times these days
Uncertain of the economy, of keeping our jobs, or even getting paid
People are hurting, worried, and depressed
The future is unclear and the economy is a mess.
It seems like America has thrown her hands up
As to say enoughs enough, we give up
But what kind of person would that make us be
To just give up on our wonderful country
A country that has fought hard for the freedoms we have today
A country that used to be proud to say
That we are one nation under God and united we stand
Its time to start putting our trust back in God and not in man.
Man cannot heal the blind or make the lame to walk
Man cannot make the deaf to hear or the mute talk
For its only God that can heal our land, our hurt, our sorrow
So why should we worry about tomorrow?
My life is in the hands of my father, my Abba
Certainly not in the hands of Barrack Obama
Its time for us to hold our heads up high again
And be proud of the country that we live in
There is a light in the tunnel at the end
His name is Jesus, our Savior, our friend!

Big Boy Now!

I have a confession to make - Ayden has been sleeping with us for a while now. It all started one night when he was sick and I let him sleep with us and then that was all it took. Bed time around my house is crazy!!!! Andrew has a tough time simply because he has a hard time winding down but after the "I'm thirsty", "I'm hungry", "I'm not sleepy" excuses go away, all is quiet in the McDowell household. So, we bought Ayden a new "big boy bed" to try to get him back sleeping in his room. Last night was the first night and I am here to tell you he slept ALL night in it and got up this morning loving it - THANK YOU LORD!!! Let's just pray he continues to love it! His exact words were "This is so beautiful, I can't believe it, I can't believe daddy fixed it for me!" So sweet! But here are a few pics of the new "big boy bed"!
